Millis Select Board Names New Auditor, Seats Architect on School Building Committee

MILLIS — February 9, 2026 — Millis Select Board unanimously hired a new auditing firm and appointed an architect to two building committees at its February 9 meeting. The board approved a three-year municipal audit contract with Roselli Clark and Associates of Woburn, not to exceed $200,750 — a figure Vice Chair Craig Schultz caught only after a draft motion listed $401,500, exactly double the correct amount. The board also appointed Sarah Rosenthal, a registered architect with prior Dedham building committee experience, to both the Permanent Building Committee through June 2028 and the School Building Committee through completion of the Middle High School project. A UMass Boston presentation on a 1,983-person aging survey found that 32 percent of Millis's population will be age 60 or older by 2030, with affordability and transportation the top concerns; Council on Aging Chair Elizabeth tied the transportation data directly to a pending budget fight over funding "displaced from us last year." The board also rescinded a sewer permit for 1280 Main Street after its developer abandoned a proposed housing project, and approved DPW contract extensions totaling up to $990,000 for roadway and catch basin services.
